That was a great start - that first 15-20 minutes was great.

I thought it was an enjoyable start with plenty of opportunities for plot development. Agree with @Major Tom and @Sad Professor that the first 20 minutes or so was fantastic.

Got a mad idea that...............

the whole train thing was a set up for Budd to get his job with the minister to kill her off...but it does seem a tad extreme to do this when I think of it.

The assistant spilling the coffee was part of the plan to get Montague to trust Budd.

Nothing will be straightforward as it seems in regard to a Jed Mercurio story

Watched it and enjoyed it, not up there with Line of Duty but still pretty excellent. Keeley Hawes is terrific as always.

I probably wouldn't keep watching if my missus wasn't watching.

Theories are beginning to come out

One theory is that Richard Madden has got such bad PTSD that he's suffered a split personality breakdown Fight Club style and is actually the assassin. That wouldn't entirely stack up but on recent form that wouldn't stop the writer trying to crowbar it in.

It's also possible that someone has got into his flat and put blanks in his gun because they were hoping he would snap and try to shoot Julia, and they'd be able to kill him and pin the conspiracy on him

There's also theories that Julia isn't really dead

Watched the previous episodes on Friday/Saturday night

Acting is a bit wooden but it’s a decent show.

An incredibly tense first hour but the last 15 minutes were all wrapped up too neatly. Overall, a decent enough show but I'm not sure it deserves all the publicity it has been getting - there have been much better shows with nowhere near as much media attention or praise.
